Pedro Corro 

(1864-1934) 

He was the first and last rector of Colegio de San José, was joined by his confreres who were former professors of the Vigan diocesan seminary. 

In June 1896, the school opened to about a hundred students in Bacolod City. The first Recollect-owned school did not last long: two years later, it closed its portals owing to the Philippine Revolution and the Spanish-American War.
